1. What is a Fido Sim Card?
Fido Sim Card is a piece of chip that is required to access cell phone service provided by Fido. If you want to use Fido' service, you need a Fido Sim Card in your phone.

2. Is my phone compatible with Fido Sim Card?
Any Fido phone or unlocked GSM phone will be able to use Fido Sim Card.
 
3. What services are available?
a) Prepaid
b) Monthly Plan
c) If you lost your old sim card, and need a new one, you can transfer your number to this new card

5. I heard there is a activation fee, is it true?
Yes and no.
a) NO ACTIVATION FEE for Pay As You Go / Prepaid Service
b) $35 activation fee for monthly service
c) No cost for transferring number from your old Fido sim card

6. Is there any minutes on the card?
No, there is no minute/balance on the $15 Fido sim card by default. To put minutes in the card, you need to buy voucher/airtime card. You may purchase them by calling Fido, going to Fido.ca or go to any Fido branch. In addition, most shops and convenience stores will carry Fido Voucher/Airtime cards. Now we are also offering $25 instant credit and $20 referral credit for $20 or $5 extra respectively.

7. I see there are several different types of packages with different credits, what  the difference?

We offer 4 types of packages:

a) Fido Sim Card ($15)

b) Fido Sim Card + $25 Instant Credit ($35)

c) Fido Sim Card + $20 Referral Credit ($20)

b) Fido Sim Card + $25 Instant Credid + $20 Referral Credit ($40)

8. What is the difference between $25 instant credit and $20 referral credit? What is the $25 instant credit much more expensive than the $20 referral credit?

The $25 instant credit will be applied IMMEDIATELY while the $20 referral credit is applied AFTER 90 days of usage. Procedures is as follow:

a) To apply the $25 instant credit, we will provide you a $25 instant credit IMEI. You simply give that to Fido at time of activation and they would add the credit to your account.

b) To apply the $20 referral credit, after your purchase, please send us your TITLE (Mr/Ms), FIRST NAME, LAST NAME, and EMAIL ADDRESS, and we will send you a $20 referral code credit within 24 hours. You will provide that to Fido at time of activation.

9. For Prepaid, how much is one minute?

10. I want to use Fido's prepaid service, what do I need to do?
Firstly, you need to purchase the Fido Sim Card. Secondly, you call Fido at 1-888-481-3436 to get the card activated. Fido will need some of your basic personal information such as Name, Home Address, and Email Address. There is no ID or Credit check for Prepaid service, and no credit card is required. Then Fido will assign you a phone number based on your area/city. Details of your service, including voicemail activation, will be handled by Fido.

11. Fido sells the Fido Sim Card for $35 + Tax, how come you sell so much less?
Fido Sim Cards are actually very inexpensive to produce and are sold at very low price to Fido dealers/branches, but they jack up the price. The cards we sell are 100% BRAND NEW, GENUINE, and UNACTIVATED. We get the the sim cards directly from Fido dealers to avoid unnecessary costs. These sim cards are exactly the same as the ones you buy from the store. The only difference is ours is 1/3 of the retail price.
